She scampered barefoot and smiling on the cool green grass. Tossing my book by her shoes I allowed myself to be lost in happiness. In out of the trees I chased her as the sun set. Finally collapsing together breathless we paused. I slowly moved her hair out of her delicate pale face and smiled as she pierced me with those brilliant alluring green eyes. The day wasted was nearly perfect. The only thing left was simple. Leaning in to her, our lips met and our heart’s stopped. She tasted sun drenched and perfect and I no longer cared about tomorrow.
